Detectives from the Bellevue Police Department apprehended two individuals connected to the shooting incident that occurred in September 2023, involving a woman.
Around 2:30 a.m. on September 9, 2023, law enforcement responded to a shooting in the 4100 block of 146th Avenue Southeast in Bellevue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 38-year-old woman with a gunshot wound that grazed her head but did not penetrate the skull. The injury was not life threatening and the woman called 911 where emergency medical services transported her to Harborview Medical Center, where she spent a few hours and was released.
After an 2-month long investigation Bellevue PD arrested a 16-year old Mexican national with an extensive arrest record in possession of a polymer 80 “ghost gun” at the 9800 block of Avondale Road Northeast in Redmond. The gun matched the gun used in the shooting. The 16-year-old suspect was booked into the King County Youth Center, facing charges of first-degree assault, and held on $500,000 bail.
According to witnesses, there was a gaming party at a residence on 2nd street in Bellevue when the 16 year old male picked up some of the youths for a joyride. According to witnesses the boy was a part time friend of some of the teens at the party who they “occasionally” hung out with.
Apparently the boys decided to visit a residence to “harass and spray paint” a vehicle belonging to a teen known as “Nick” that was involved in jumping one of the boys at the party weeks earlier while he was at work at Macy’s.
Statements made by witnesses indicate the boys drove over to the home when the 16 year old without warning pulled out a polymer 80 “ghost gun” and fired randomly into the home located at the 4100 block of 146th Avenue Southeast striking a woman in the head. None of the teens in the car knew the boy had a gun or was intending to use it.
A second teen that was the host of the party Tristan L Fischer was also arrested because of Washington State’s “Accomplice liability” law and was booked into the King County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and is being held on $500,000 bail.
Fischer’s residence was searched but no evidence was found at the home.
Three other individuals are currently sought in connection to this shooting.
The Bellevue police department has assured the community that there is no ongoing danger and believes the shooting to be a targeted event.
