U.S. Embassy Issues Travel Alert For Israel Amid Escalating Conflict With Hezbollah

On August 25, the US embassy in Israel issued a new security alert for the territories of Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza due to the latest military actions between Israel and the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

At approximately 1:30 GMT on Sunday, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike across southern Lebanon, allegedly to thwart a large-scale rocket and drone attack planned by Hezbollah, according to IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.

Locations affected included the Bir Kalb area, Beaufort Castle, and the outskirts of the towns of Louaizeh, Bsalia, Kfar Melki, Ain Qana, Kfar Fila, Sajd and Sarba, according to the BBC.
