TSA Expects Over 14 Million Travelers During Labor Day Weekend

Over 14 million passengers are expected to be screened by security personnel according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), between September 1 and September 6.

The biggest day, according to TSA officials, will be Sept. 1, when officers will screen more than 2.7 million passengers. Since Memorial Day weekend, 227.5 million passengers — or an average of 2.5 million per day — have gone through security screening.

According to a government agency, travel in the summer of 2023 will be higher than in 2019, making it the busiest summer ever.
