The island of Jamaica continues to see a steady influx of tourists, with the destination reporting its 10th straight quarter of strong tourism growth.
According to Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Tourism Minister, the country received nearly 683,000 stopover guests in the third quarter, 5.5 percent more than the same period in 2022.
“The economic performance figures for the third quarter of the year show that Jamaica continues to shine as a premier destination, with significantly increasing stopover arrivals and earnings,” Bartlett told reporters.
A total of $1 billion was generated by tourism on the island, a 7.3 percent increase from the same time in 2022.
