The 140 most romantic small towns in America were identified by a study conducted by a team of travel specialists at New York Travel Guides.
They examined and contrasted 600 American small towns in the following areas: (1) romantic places to stay, (2) romantic activities, (3) historic architecture and scenery, and (4) cozy coffee shops and restaurants.
Based on these data, researchers concluded that Carmel-by-the-Sea is the nation’s most romantic small town!
