While the summer of 2023 has been generally quiet for tourism in the Caribbean, one place has continued to outperform the rest of the region: the Dominican Republic, which recently experienced its best month of travel ever.
In July, the nation welcomed 792,981 tourists, beating the previous records set in December 2022 and July 2022.
Up until this point, only those months had seen more than 700,000 visitors to the Dominican Republic.
This is part of the Dominican Republicās shining performance in 2023, when it is expected to record the highest annual number of tourists ever.
The performance in July was 8% better than the record-breaking July of 2022
