This Caribbean Island Has Just Implemented A New Tourism Fee

Entering Aruba will now set you back an additional $20 due to a new “Sustainability Fee” imposed on all travelers visiting the island by air. Visitors must also continue paying the old $3 environmental tax. 

The new entry fee has a cost of $20 and must be paid before arrival. Money collected would be used to upgrade some key infrastructure and facilities, including the country’s sewage water treatment plants, said Aruba Tourism Authority
