Spain Increases Income Requirement for Digital Nomad Visa in 2025

Spain’s government has officially raised the minimum wage, impacting financial requirements for the Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) in 2025. Foreign nationals applying for or renewing their DNV must now meet higher income thresholds.

On January 29, 2025, Spain’s Ministry of Labour reached an agreement with major trade unions to increase the country’s minimum wage (Salario Mínimo Interprofessional, SMI) by 4.4%. This adjustment raises the SMI by €50 per month, bringing it to €1,184 across 14 annual payments, amounting to a total of €16,576 gross per year.
