ROO – Despite the early and heavy arrival of sargassum along the coastlines of Quintana Roo, the state’s Ministry of Tourism (Sedetur) projects a robust influx of nearly 1.3 million tourists during the upcoming Easter holiday period, underlining the Mexican Caribbean’s enduring appeal among both domestic and international travelers.

Tourism Secretary Bernardo Cueto Riestra emphasized the optimistic outlook, with hotel occupancy expected to surpass 82 percent across the region.
