Xander Schauffele is officially a two-time major winner. He stormed past the field to win the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon by two shots after he signed for a bogey-free 6-under 65 to get to 9-under overall.
It marked his second major win of 2024, as he also won the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club earlier this year.
Championship Sunday was quite dramatic. Many thought Billy Horschel would get the job done. Then Justin Rose captured the lead for a while. Thriston Lawrence looked to explode into the spotlight, and Scottie Scheffler threatened momentarily.
