With the 2025 NFL Draft just hours away, we have yet to see a trade in the first round. This marks the longest offseason cycle in the modern draft era that we have not seen a trade, since Joe Montana was traded just five days before the 1993 NFL Draft.
But that might be about to change.
According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, the Chicago Bears are calling the teams ahead of them in the first round, looking to move up from the tenth-overall selection on Thursday night. Leonard also notes that “six” teams ahead of the Bears are looking to move back:
