Since the very first Open Championship at Prestwick in 1860, 232 men have claimed a major championship.
Of that exclusive group, 42 players have won exactly two major championships, and the list of those who have done so is quite impressive.
That also now includes Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, the two best players from the 2024 calendar year. Scheffler, of course, won again at Augusta National in April, claiming his second green jacket. Schauffele, meanwhile, fended off Bryson DeChambeau at Valhalla and then conquered the wind, rain, and Scottish summer at Royal Troon, playing a marvelous final 36 holes to become the Champion Golfer of the Year.
