Back in Week 4 Jared Goff threw the NFL’s version of a perfect game. Goff completed all 18 of his passing attempts in the Detroit Lions’ 42-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks. That outing set a new NFL record for completions in a single game without an incompletion, breaking a mark set back in 2005 by Kurt Warner. It was the kind of performance that you would expect merits a game ball from head coach Dan Campbell, but there was just one problem.
