The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) could have existed beyond 1954 alongside MLB with the Colorado Silver Bullets and others joining as expansion teams.
Instead, there were arbitrary and artificial barriers, invisible signs on baseball diamonds that read: no women allowed.
