Even as the Bengals Fell Short, Ja’Marr Chase Made History

With 11 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns, Ja’Marr Chase put up a single-game stat line Thursday replicated only one other time in Cincinnati Bengals history — by Chase himself, in 2022.

In the Bengals’ 35-34 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Chase became the first player in NFL history to record multiple games of 250-plus receiving yards and two-plus touchdowns in a career. Chase first put up a similarly monstrous stat line on Jan. 2, 2022, when he pulled in a franchise-record 266 yards on 11 receptions with three touchdowns.

While Chase fell just short of matching his own franchise record, it wasn’t for a lack of opportunities.
