The Carolina Panthers are benching 2023 No. 1 pick Bryce Young for their Week 3 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, a league source confirmed Monday. Andy Dalton will be the new starting quarterback for the Panthers, per the league source.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network was first to report the news.

This move happens after the Panthers’ second straight blowout loss to open the season, falling 26-3 to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Young completed 18 of 26 passes but those completions went for just 84 yards, the fourth-lowest passing total in franchise history for a quarterback with at least 25 pass
