SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — There is nothing Nick Taylor wanted to do more than represent his home country at the Presidents Cup last fall. He had never played for the International Team before, so playing for Mike Weir at Royal Montreal would have been a dream come true.
And given what transpired last year at TPC Scottsdale, where Taylor knocked off Charley Hoffman in a playoff, his spot on the team seemed all but guaranteed. He flexed his clutch genes down the stretch, making five birdies over his last six holes — two being in the playoff — which helped him leap up to 28th in the Official World Golf
