BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Washington State Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on Tuesday night in Bellingham.
One person has died after a driver hit a pedestrian along southbound Interstate 5. One lane of traffic along both directions of I-5 is closed at Northwest Avenue as troopers investigate.
Troopers say a driver in a car hit a pedestrian just before 7:30 p.m. Medics and law enforcement responded to the scene.
WSP Trooper Kelsey Harding said the person had died around 8:45 p.m.
