Wrong-way driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after crash on I-705 in Tacoma

According to the Washington State Patrol, the suspect was driving the wrong way going southbound on northbound I-705 when they struck another vehicle head-on. The Washington State Patrol first posted about the collision at 4:47 a.m. Sunday.

The Washington State Patrol said the two victims, the driver and passenger, exited the vehicle following the crash to call 911. One of them, a woman, was struck by a third vehicle that was traveling through the scene of the first crash. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be ok.
