Woman falls 100 feet on peak near Snoqualmie Pass

The woman fell about 100 feet while on Guye Peak near Snoqualmie Pass.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — A base jumper was rescued after a fall near Snoqualmie Pass on Sunday.

A 38-year-old woman, who is an experienced base jumper, took a 100-foot fall unexpectedly on Guye Peak, according to Seattle Mountain Rescue, which assisted with the operation. Base jumping is where people parachute from tall structures, like buildings or cliffs.

The woman was conscious after the fall. She had her phone with her and was able to call for help and communicate with rescuers.
