The first day of spring may be Thursday, but it’s still winter in the Cascades.
SEATTLE — Winter is holding on in the Cascade Mountains with a snowstorm expected to bring up to 2 feet of snow for the first weekend of spring.
A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from Friday at 5 p.m. to Saturday at 5 a.m. for western Chelan County, including Stevens Pass.
Snow totals are expected to be between 1 and 2 feet through Friday night, with possibly higher snow totals for the Mount Baker area, according to the KING 5 First Alert Weather Team.
