Widespread snow accumulations possible in western Washington by Thursday morning

It is likely that the snow will result in slippery road conditions during the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

SEATTLE — Snow fell in western Washington early Wednesday morning, and snow showers are expected to return in the afternoon across a wide swath of the region. 

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for a majority of the region through 10 a.m. on Thursday. Olympia, Hoquiam, Shelton, areas on the peninsula, Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue, Lynnwood, Everett, Enumclaw and surrounding areas will all see the potential for 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulations.
