KING COUNTY, Wash. — Gary Ridgway, also known as the Green River Killer, was brought back to King County in September to assist detectives in locating remains of victims yet to be recovered, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Ridgway is currently serving 49 life sentences at the Washington State Penitentiary for murders he committed starting in 1982.
In September 2024, he was transferred from the Washington State Penitentiary to King County Jail. He was booked into the jail Sept. 9.
