SEATTLE — One of Seattle’s oldest parks is set to get a major renovation ahead of the FIFA World Cup coming to the city next year, but the upgrades are getting pushback from many who want to keep it as is.
For the last 36 years the concrete stage and fountain have been two iconic landmarks that have been backdrops for thousands of events at Westlake Park. But they could be coming down soon with new upgrades on the way.
