West Seattle residents reflect on changing neighborhood after over 100 rounds fired near vigil

Witnesses described the chaotic scene, with the sound of rapid gunfire followed by multiple vehicles speeding away from the area.

SEATTLE — A barrage of gunfire erupted in a West Seattle neighborhood Sunday night, with more than 100 rounds fired near Greg Davis Park. 

Despite the spate of gunfire, no injuries were reported.

Seattle police responded just after 9 p.m. to reports of shots fired near a vigil for a man killed in a recent homicide. Witnesses described the chaotic scene, with the sound of rapid gunfire followed by multiple vehicles speeding away from the area.
