Along with state fairs and apple picking, one of Washington’s more unique fall activities will officially return next month: razor clam digs.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildfire (WDFW) announced 62 tentative dates for razor clam digs starting in mid-September through the end of the year at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Mocrocks and Copalis. A full list of dates and times can be found here.
Kalaloch Beach will remain closed this season due to depleted populations of harvestable clams. All of the scheduled openings are still dependent on final marine toxin tests, which will occur a week before the opening.
