OLYMPIA, Wash. — Proposed legislation could end the sale of flavored tobacco or vape products including menthol cigarettes, vape juices and tobacco pouches in Washington state.
Under House Bill 1203, the sale of “any flavored tobacco or nicotine product or entertainment vapor product” would be prohibited in the state starting in January 2026.
Hundreds of people signed up to testify during a House of Representatives hearing Friday morning, both in favor and in opposition to the bill.
