Vacant property in Renton draws major safety concerns from residents and businesses

The mayor of Renton said the city is trying to work with the owners to demolish or secure the building.

RENTON, Wash. — A vacant property in Renton is becoming a hotspot for illegal activity, according to neighbors, raising concerns for those who live and work nearby.

“Right now, we have our own tourist attraction,” said Diane Dobson. “And it’s not the one that anyone should be proud of.”

All eyes are on an abandoned property in north Renton on the corner of Park Avenue North and North 6th Street.
