UW: Federal government cancels student visas without notice

UW reports there was no indication the visa cancelations were due to activism or free speech.

SEATTLE — Nine University of Washington students and recent graduates have had their visas canceled by the U.S. government without prior notice, the university said Monday.

In a statement, UW said five current students and four recent graduates participating in post-graduate training were affected.
