Transit workers hold candlelight vigil to honor fallen bus driver Shawn Yim

The candlelight vigil was held several hours after Yim’s suspected killer was arrested by Seattle police.

SEATTLE — Transit leaders and King County Metro bus operators held a vigil on Saturday to honor Shawn Yim, the bus driver who was killed while on duty earlier in the week. 

“We need to honor to heal, this is part of the healing,” said Greg Woodfill, union president.

Yim was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Unit, Local 587.
