Toddler’s capture follows court’s restraining order denial

Police arrested a woman for allegedly kidnapping a toddler from a Seattle daycare after a restraining order hearing.

SEATTLE — The parents of a toddler kidnapped from a south Seattle daycare center on March 28 believe the suspect did so immediately following a restraining order hearing. 

The 46-year-old woman, who has been charged with second-degree kidnapping with a firearm enhancement and vulnerable victim designation, remains in King County Jail on $500,000 bail.

On March 28, MARS Early Learning Academy staff called 911 to report a woman abducted a child. The woman, staff told police, said she was there to pick up a 1-year-old girl.
