Thunderstorms possible in western Washington this weekend

There could be thunderstorms on Friday afternoon lasting through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

SEATTLE — This weekend could bring chances of thunderstorms to the western Washington area, beginning Friday and lasting through Sunday.

KING 5 Chief Meteorologist Mike Everett said Saturday afternoon into the evening is the time of most concern for the central Puget Sound area. There is up to a 35% chance of thunderstorms between 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
