PARIS, France — For the first time in 16 years, Team USA will be part of the Olympic field in team artistic swimming, formerly known as synchronized swimming. Among the American athletes competing for the U.S. in Paris are a pair of locals, Audrey Kwon from Seattle and Keana Hunter from Issaquah.
Both Hunter and Kwon were part of the U.S. team that punched a ticket to Paris at the World Aquatic Championships in Doha, Qatar, in February. In each of the prior three Olympics, the U.S. only sent a duet pair in the discipline.
The first set of team performances will begin at 10:30 a.m. PT
