‘La Tiendita’ – the little store – will serve domestic violence survivors and their families. Nonprofit Mi Centro is hosting a fundraiser to support the new store.
TACOMA, Wash. — “La Tiendita de Valores” which means “Little Shop of Values” in Spanish, was launched with hopes of giving domestic violence survivors and crime victims much-needed support.
The nonprofit, Mi Centro, runs the store. It ties in with several programs that serve families and individuals.
Mi Centro is a community-based non-profit that works with the Latino and Indigenous native families through educational programs, crisis intervention, family outreach services, arts and culture programming, and advocacy efforts.
