Suspects used van in attempt to rip open ATM in Magnolia

Police said the suspects used a van and chain to pull an ATM off its base but were unsuccessful in taking it.

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after a van was used in an attempt to pull an ATM out of a wall in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

The Seattle Police Department said officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 3300 block of West McGraw Street just before 4 a.m. Police said the suspects used a van and chain to pull an ATM off its base but were unsuccessful in taking it. The ATM and wall were damaged.
