Suspected DUI driver knocks down power poles in Bothell

Puget Sound Energy reports approximately 2,400 customers were without power after a driver knocked down two power poles.

BOTHELL, Wash. — Hundreds of people are without power in Bothell after a driver suspected of being under the influence crashed into power poles on Thursday evening.

The crash occurred along Bothell Way Northeast and Northeast 188th Street, according to the Bothell Police Department. 

The driver crashed into two power poles; they were treated at the scene and arrested on suspicion of DUI. There were no passengers. 

At one point, upwards of 2,400 Puget Sound Energy customers were without power. As of 10
