Suspect sets house on fire during stand-off with Everett police

Police said the suspect was taken to the hospital.

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police managed to get a man into custody after attempting to serve a warrant before the suspect set the house he was in on fire.

An Everett police spokesperson confirmed to KING 5 that officers were on scene for a warrant when a male suspect in his late 40s barricaded himself inside a home.

Police say the suspect eventually set the house on fire, and climbed onto the roof of the home.
