Dr. Brent Jones accepted a contract extension with SPS in February.
SEATTLE — The superintendent of Seattle Public Schools (SPS) will leave his post in September, according to an announcement that came only a month after he accepted a contract extension with the district.
Dr. Brent Jones’ final day with SPS will be Sept. 3, according to Monday’s announcement. Jones has been the SPS superintendent since May 2021.
