While the COVID-19 pandemic caused a severe uptick in unemployment claims, one industry remained largely untouched: IT.
Utilizing data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), VPNOverview, a website dedicated to VPNs, online privacy, security, and internet freedom, recently conducted a study that assessed IT job growth in the U.S. It also looked at the areas of the country best for IT/tech jobs and which position titles pay the most.
While California, with its infamous Silicon Valley, is the expected number-one state for IT jobs, the study found that Washington D.C. actually took the number one spot for the highest concentration of IT jobs per capita followed by
