Strong winds possible in much of western Washington lowlands Tuesday and Wednesday

Mountain snow could cause delays over the passes, the National Weather Service warned.

SEATTLE — A weather system moving in Tuesday will impact most of western Washington, bringing high winds, steady rain and mountain snow.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday for most of the Puget Sound area. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Washington coast, western Whatcom and Skagit counties and San Juan County over the same time period.
