The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
SPOKANE, Wash. — It appears members of Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team had no idea how close they came to a disaster Friday, as the team landed at Los Angeles International Airport.
Video from Airline Videos Live shows the moment the team’s chartered Key Lime airplane came dangerously near the runway and path of a departing Delta flight.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is now investigating the incident. The agency says the near-miss happened Friday around 4:30 pm.
