OLYMPIA, Wash. — A devastating break-in threatened to silence an Olympia nonprofit dedicated to empowering young musicians, but the community refused to let the music stop.
After thousands of dollars in donations poured in, the organization is now turning heartbreak into hope.
“So uplifted and encouraged by our community,” said Bobby Williams, executive director of the Bridge Music Project. “It’s been a tough week, but an amazing week.”
Williams is singing a different tune these days.
“It almost felt like an attack on what we stand for,” said Williams, last week.
