SKYKOMISH, Wash. — Hundreds of outdoors enthusiasts are taking to the Internet, calling for change at Stevens Pass resort after claims of increasing theft of skiing and snowboarding equipment.
The call to action has prompted nearly 300 people to sign an online petition demanding a solution.
The petition, circulating on Change.org, claims that equipment theft at the resort has become a “widespread incident,” with many skiers and snowboarders sharing their own experiences of having their gear going missing from the outdoor racks.
