Spokane auto repair shop preparing for impacts of new U.S. tariffs on imported goods

C & H Foreign Auto Repair is preparing to see an increase in costs for car parts, which owner Scott Cushman says will hurt customers’ wallets.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The owner of an auto repair shop in Spokane is preparing his business for the impacts of new tariffs announced by President Donald Trump on Wednesday

C & H Foreign Auto Repair, a family business owned by Scott Cushman, gets the majority of its parts used for repairs and general maintenance from Europe and Asia. 

Cushman says the business specifically relies heavily on European warehouses located across the U.S., which get their parts from overseas
