Sound Transit will begin increasing the frequency of service on the link light rail starting next week in preparation for a busier summer season in Seattle.
The agency announced that beginning on June 12, link trains will run every eight minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes during midday and weekends. Trains in the late evening will run every 15 minutes. Currently, the service runs every 12 minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes during off-peak hours, with wait times as long as 30 minutes for late evenings due to operator availability.
