Many in Western Washington woke up to several inches of snow in their yards and atop their cars Saturday, as a strong winter storm moved into the region Friday evening.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle is currently predicting additional snow accumulations across the area today, with showers decreasing later in the day.
“Heavier snow will continue through the morning with an additional 3-6 inches possible across the area,” wrote NWS in their Saturday morning briefing. “Snow will gradually taper from south to north across the region this afternoon.”
