Slide Ranch Fire in Yakima County grows to nearly 3,200 acres

Statewide resources were mobilized to fight the Slide Ranch Fire, which has grown to nearly 3,200 acres.

WHITE SWAN, Wash. — Yakima fire officials estimate over a dozen structures, many of which were homes, were lost in a wildfire burning near White Swan in central Washington.

The Slide Ranch Fire, which has been burning since June 22 and is also called the Mission Road Fire, grew to nearly 3,200 acres as of Sunday morning, according to Yakima County Fire District No. 5.

Between 13 and 17 structures were lost, the fire district said Sunday.
