SEATTLE — One of Seattle’s longest running Thai restaurants is preparing to close at the end of the month. It’s a shock to many, now rushing to visit one final time.
“38 years of my life in here,” said Vhanthip “Nancy” Bhokayasupatt. “So, it’s sad.”
For nearly four decades, Thai Siam, located near the corner of 15th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 83rd Street, has been a special place for many.
“This place means home,” said Bhokayasupatt. “Home to everybody.”
Bhokayasupatt is the owner of this Crown Hill staple. She’s a pioneer in the Seattle food scene, known for opening a business that is now the second oldest Thai restaurant in the city.
