BURLINGTON, Vt. — A Seattle-area woman has pleaded not guilty to federal firearm charges in connection to the fatal shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Vermont in January.
Teresa Youngblut, 21, faces charges of using a deadly weapon while assaulting a Border Patrol agent and using a firearm during and in relation to that assault. Youngblut is accused of opening fire on agents during a traffic stop in northern Vermont, sparking a shootout that also left Agent David Maland and her companion, German citizen Felix Bauckholt, dead.
