Seattle unveils $2 million restroom at Waterfront Park

Seattle opened a $2 million public restroom at Waterfront Park in its revitalization effort.

SEATTLE — A public restroom opened at Seattle’s Waterfront Park Tuesday with a price tag of $2 million.

The six-stalled, open-air facility is one of the last amenities opening as part of the $800 million waterfront revitalization project.

City officials said they are aware that some people may be skeptical of the cost, but they said it’s worth it.

“This is going to be so different and we’re so excited,” said Tiffani Melake, Waterfront Park operations manager.
